Danish Modern designer Kai Kristiansen, has created high-quality wood furniture for decades. He began his career in 1948 as a cabinet maker for Kaare Klint, a man sometimes called the father of modern Danish furniture design. At the age of 26 Kristiansen opened his own studio, but remained faithful to the design principles of his mentor. Today, Kristiansen is still at work on new furniture, while being recognized as one of the most talented Danish designers from the Danish mid-century period. His designs, with their innovative aesthetics and clever practical elements, are highly sought after by collectors as well as interior designers.
